Pros

Latest technology gives 100% of performance allowed.  Mobile -- works anywhere reached by a signal, including out of doors.  Flexible speed scalability.

Inexpensive and available everywhere a phone line is available.

Fastest available wired service

Fastest wired service for the money in areas where it is available.

Inexpensive home Internet solution.

Cons

Not available everywhere but growing.

SLOW

Expensive - monthly fee can approach $2400.

Not available in our area.  Not expected for the next 12 months.
Performance can be substandard because it uses older copper network in many areas.  Designed for personal use.  Doesn't support a LAN

Not available everywhere.  Customers share a common link.  The more people using it, the slower it gets.  No way to increase the speed.  Not secure due to common link.  To connect to a LAN requires extra IP addresses to be purchased for each computer.
